Raizo began his musical journey in 2016 when his father purchased a used upright piano and enrolled him in music lessons. He learned much of his foundation through private instruction with a piano teacher at the Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM), and later continued lessons online after relocating to Surrey. He currently performs RCM Level 10 / ARCT-level repertoire.

Raizo has participated in numerous performances, festivals, and competitions, as well as school music programs including choir, concert band, pit band, and jazz band. He also sings in his church choir and plays keyboard in his church’s Music Ministry. In addition to piano, Raizo plays percussion in his school concert band and is working on improving his singing abilities.

Raizo has received several awards, including “Outstanding Performance by Junior Piano” at the Surrey Schools Jazz Festival in 2025 and the David Foster Scholarship from the VCM. He has a strong passion for composition and performance and has composed original pieces to perform during school band concerts.

 

Raizo plans to pursue Music Education in his post-secondary studies and aims to become a secondary school music teacher. He enjoys expressing creativity both in and outside of music through composing, drawing, cooking, and playing video games.
