Joy started learning to play piano when she was 8 years old, and began teaching piano lessons when she was in high school. In addition to teaching piano privately for the past 35 years, Joy is also a registered nurse and has worked in a few different countries over the past 3 decades!

Joy's kids took lessons at Carillon Music Academy and had such a good experience that Joy recently decided to also join the Carillon Music teaching staff!

​

In addition to piano, Joy also plays the organ, ukulele, and angklung. She also belongs to several singing groups including a ladies double trio, her church choir, another singing group, and she is the head of the ensemble department and pianist/organist department for her church. 

​

When Joy's not singing or playing music she enjoys baking, cross-stitching and just recently learned how to crochet.

Joy teaches students of all ages and is passionate about sharing her love of music with her students.
